Goal

o generate reliable evidence and knowledge through high-quality research that informs policies, improves development interventions, and contributes to sustainable socio-economic development and the well-being of vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.

Objective

  • - To identify the socio-economic, health, education, environmental, and livelihood challenges faced by disadvantaged communities.
  • - To conduct baseline, midline, endline, operational, evaluation, and impact studies for development programs.
  • - To assess the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, sustainability, and impact of development interventions.
  • - To generate evidence for policy formulation, program planning, advocacy, and decision-making.
  • - To strengthen research capacity through collaboration with government agencies, academic institutions, development partners, and other stakeholders.
  • - To disseminate research findings and promote evidence-based practices for national development.

Major Activities

  • - Conduct baseline, midline, endline, needs assessment, and impact evaluation studies.
  • - Design research methodologies, sampling frameworks, and data collection tools.
  • - Collect quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (KIIs), and observations.
  • - Perform data entry, cleaning, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
  • - Prepare research reports, policy briefs, technical papers, and publications.
  • - Conduct operational and implementation research to improve program effectiveness.
  • - Monitor and evaluate development projects and interventions.
  • - Organize stakeholder consultations, workshops, seminars, and dissemination events.
  • - Develop databases and maintain research documentation.
  • - Collaborate with government ministries, universities, research institutions, NGOs, and development partners.
  • - Conduct training and capacity-building on research methodology, monitoring, evaluation, and data management.
  • - Disseminate research findings through publications, conferences, websites, and media.
